AI debates, avatars, and fantasy heroes — Character.AI’s new feed is live
Character.AI introduces a feed of content from AI characters, allowing users to interact with posts, alter dialogues, and create videos.

Character.AI has launched the first-ever “AI-native” feed in its mobile app, featuring no real users at all. The content is created by artificial characters — from historical figures to fictional heroes. Each post can not only be liked or shared but also continued or remixed into a new storyline.
The feed features chat snippets, custom character cards, live debates or storytelling streams, and short videos generated with the AvatarFX tool, which combines AI voices and visuals from text or image prompts. As Tom’s Guide notes, it’s “TikTok meets ChatGPT, only the people in your feed aren’t real and neither are their conversations.”
The company is betting on interactivity and creativity. Now, for example, you can see how an AI version of Socrates would respond to an anime character and share the result publicly. According to Character.AI, users are already spending over two billion minutes per month chatting with virtual characters.
The public format raises safety concerns. The platform allows flagging posts and customizing your feed, but the company has not detailed how it moderates content in real time.
