At Google I/O 2025, the company unveiled a new generation of AI-powered tools transforming everything from search and shopping to programming and 3D communication.

At Google I/O 2025, the company unveiled a new wave of AI-powered features and tools being integrated into everyday services and devices. These updates cover search, email, online shopping, video calls, programming, and more.
One of the major highlights was the new AI mode in Google Search, combining traditional results with chatbot-like responses. Users can now receive summarized answers, topic breakdowns, and visual prompts. Also introduced was Project Mariner — an agent that performs browser-based tasks like booking tickets or making purchases.
Gemini Live is now available for free on Android and iOS. This voice assistant supports camera input and screen sharing, allowing it to respond based on your environment in real time.
In the creative field, Google introduced Veo 3 — a video generator capable of adding sound and dialogue. Paired with a new tool called Flow, which combines Veo 3 and Imagen 4, users can produce high-quality videos with AI assistance.
For developers, Google launched Jules — an asynchronous programming agent that works with repositories like GitHub, automatically fixing bugs, adding features, and testing code. Jules operates in a secure Google Cloud environment without using private code for training.
In augmented reality, Google unveiled Android XR — a platform for smart glasses and headsets equipped with microphones, cameras, and displays. These devices enable real-time, interactive AI experiences.
The biggest surprise was Google Beam — a 3D video communication platform that creates a sense of presence without headsets. The first Beam-compatible devices will be released later this year in partnership with HP.
