At the Adobe Max conference in London, the company announced the integration of image generation models from OpenAI, Google, and Flux into Firefly. Users can now choose between the new Firefly Image Model 4, GPT-4o image model, Imagen 3, and Flux 1.1 Pro.

Firefly Image Model 4 is described as Adobe’s fastest and most controllable model. It supports image generation up to 2K resolution with advanced settings for camera angle, zoom, and speed. The Ultra version is optimized for complex scenes with high detail.

In addition to images, Firefly Video Model is now available outside of beta. It enables video generation from text prompts, with tools for cinematic camera motion. Adobe also introduced Firefly Vector Model for generating vector graphics.

Adobe emphasizes that all Firefly models are commercially safe, generating content without infringing copyrights. For partner models like GPT-4o and Imagen 3, users can opt in or out of using them. “Enterprise customers will be able to enable or disable access to partner models,” Adobe stated.

Another new feature is Firefly Boards — a platform for creating moodboards and storyboards with real-time collaboration. All new tools are available in the Firefly web version, while Firefly Boards is currently in open beta.
