How to Install XAPK Files on Android
Learn how to manually install XAPK files on Android. Step-by-step instructions for first-time users. Quick, safe, and easy. No tech skills required.

The standard format for installing apps on Android is APK. However, more and more app and game installers downloaded today come in the XAPK format.
An XAPK file is simply a package that contains a regular APK installer along with additional data, usually required resources or OBB files. This all-in-one package makes downloading easier, but a special tool is needed to install it correctly.
You’ll need a third-party app that can extract the contents of the package and install everything in the right place. One of the best options for this is XInstaller, a simple and convenient tool for quick and safe installation of XAPK files.
XAPK Installation on Android
1. Download the XAPK file
Use your phone’s browser to download the XAPK file. If your browser asks whether to keep the file, confirm. That’s just a routine prompt.
2. Install XInstaller
Download and install the XInstaller app. On this page, you can use the Google Play link or download the APK file directly.
If this is your first time downloading an APK manually, your phone might ask for permission. Just allow it for your browser and try again.
Once the download is complete, you can proceed with the installation.
3. Open XInstaller and select your XAPK
Launch the app. The first time you open it, you’ll be asked to grant file access. Tap OK and allow the app to manage files on your device.
After permission is granted, XInstaller will automatically scan your device and show a list of available XAPK files. Find the one you just downloaded and tap it.
4. Allow installation if asked
If Android shows a message like "To install this file, please enable the Install from Unknown Sources permission", go to Settings and allow installation for XInstaller.
This is needed only once.
5. Confirm and wait
Tap the XAPK file in the list again to start the installation. Confirm that you want to proceed.
XInstaller will extract the contents of the XAPK file and install the app. In some cases, it might take a minute or slightly longer.
The app is now installed and ready to use. You’ll find it on your home screen or in the app drawer like any other app. If you want, you can now delete the XAPK file.
