TikTok AI Alive Launches Photo-to-Video Animation Tool

TikTok has introduced a new feature — AI Alive. This tool transforms static photos into animated videos directly within Stories. According to their official post, the goal is to unlock users’ creativity and offer more ways to express themselves.

AI Alive is available within TikTok’s Story Camera and enables photo animation. For example, a photo of a sunset can be turned into a cinematic clip where the sky changes colors and clouds drift slowly. A group selfie can come to life as an animated memory, capturing friends’ gestures and facial expressions.

The process is simple — choose a photo from your Story gallery, tap the AI Alive icon, and apply your desired effects. Once published, these Stories appear in the "For You" feed, "Following" tab, and your profile page. All AI-generated videos will include a special label to ensure content transparency.

TikTok emphasizes the safety of this technology — each video undergoes multiple checks before publication. Any videos that violate the platform’s guidelines will be removed.
